During its May 21, 2025 meeting the Flambeau School District Finance Committee heard a presentation on the Baird forecast model from Interim District Administrator Sheri Kopka. Kopka said the forecast indicates the district is expected to be in a stronger fiscal position going forward, reflecting personnel reductions implemented for the 2025–2026 academic year.
"Ms. Kopka provided an overview of the Baird forecast and informed the board that, based on this projection, the school district is expected to be in a stronger position moving forward, considering the personnel reductions implemented for the 2025-2026 academic year," the minutes state. The committee did not record questions or requests for additional detail during that agenda item.
The committee also reviewed routine financial materials: the monthly student activity accounts and the Treasurer's report, both of which drew no questions. Earlier in the meeting members approved the Finance Committee's unofficial February 19, 2025 open-session minutes.
The session concluded with setting the next finance meeting for June 18, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., and adjourned at 5:56 p.m.
