Kathy Brewer, director of the Sherrill Kenwood Library, told the city commission during public comment that the library will rebrand as "VVS Corner Library" effective April 6 and will update signage, its website and social media.
"We are rebranding the library as VVS Corner Library, to greater represent the broader community that the library now serves," Brewer said as she handed out the library's annual report. Brewer said the board president, Rashmi Bismarck, is distributing the report and that the library plans a spring/summer open house and new signage.
Commissioners offered to partner with the library on programming and to make meeting space available. Brewer said the library also plans to add patio furniture for outdoor meetings and invited the commission to check the new offerings once the rebrand is launched.
