City manager: Social District expansion, parking-lot striping to start this fall

City Manager Jon Schneider told the Principal Shopping District board that curb-and-lot work and a Social District expansion are moving forward.
Schneider reported that "striping was complete in the North parking lot" and that striping around City Hall and the South parking lot would be completed in the coming weeks. He said "the bid had been awarded for the expansion of the Social District Project in the South parking lot and that this project should start this fall," and that storm-water issues will be repaired as part of the project.
Schneider also said the project may require replacing some trees in the South lot and provided an update on the Townsquare/Pocket Park project. The board did not take a separate vote on the Social District update during the meeting; the manager presented progress and scheduling details for staff and board awareness.
