The Newaygo City Council approved its consent agenda during the Sept. 9 meeting, accepting the regular meeting minutes from Aug. 12, 2024, and authorizing multiple accounts-payable disbursements listed in the meeting record.
According to the minutes, the council approved payments with line amounts recorded as $371.86, $43,954.38, $29,474.16, $15,269.39, $20,440.16, $407,573.05, $1,009,597.99, $8,878.12, $4,392.26, $6,325.62 and $100.00. The consent-agenda motion was made by Councilmember Engemann and seconded by Councilmember DeVries; the minutes note the motion carried (AIF/MC).
The meeting also recorded a procedural motion, made by Engemann and seconded by Black, to excuse absent council member Burns; that motion carried. Council then approved the meeting agenda (motion by Engemann, second by Walerczyk; AIF/MC). These procedural approvals preceded staff reports and subsequent business.
