The policy committee flagged a discrepancy between Rule 763 (School Meal Account Charges and Collections) and the district's current practice. The written rule allows students to reach a negative $10 before receiving a cheese or peanut butter sandwich; the committee recorded that district practice has been to allow students to charge a full meal. The committee recommended updating Rule 763 to align policy with practice and voted 3–0 to refer the change to the full board.
The DPI administrative review also indicated the district’s Wellness Policy needs revision. The committee assigned board member Mitch Wainwright to work with nurse Lindsey to draft updates and return them to the committee at the May 7, 2025 meeting for consideration before a first reading at a full board meeting.
