Board waives DHS facility fees for visiting districts; YQCA use and merchandise sale also approved
Summary
The board approved use of DHS facilities by visiting districts and a youth livestock training, waived related fees, and authorized sale of Warbird singlets and warmups.
The Darlington Community School District board voted March 26 to allow outside districts use of the DHS track and to waive the associated use fees for Belmont, Benton and Argyle school districts.
The motion, moved by Carly C. Winslow and seconded by Matt Crist, included a condition that visiting districts communicate with Kent Miehe and maintain respectful conduct while on site. The minutes record two board members—Stauffacher and Zuberbuhler—as opposed to the fee waiver. The board also approved a separate motion allowing YQCA (Youth for the Quality Care of Animals) to use the DHS agriculture rooms on April 12, 2025 for livestock-at-the-fair youth training and waived the $85 use fee.
Separately, the board voted to permit sale of Warbird singlets and warmups at the prices discussed and named Cale Jackson as the contact person for the sale.
