Rockport, RTA joint committees finish teacher-evaluation rewrite; stipend schedule heading to ratification

Jody, director of teaching and learning, said the evaluation language was "recently, through a 100%, ratified" by members, and the stipend committee has finalized tiering and will send the language to the RTA for formal ratification.
Committee members asked whether the stipend changes would affect the budget. Jody and business manager June Sanfilippo said they will "crunch that final number" and present cost and planning details at the next meeting; the committee was told that the shift is manageable within reserves and planned budgeting. Administrators said the revision aims to make stipend budgeting predictable and to allow principals more flexibility to create student clubs based on interest.
