Spencer County Emergency Medical Services Director Robert Klinglesmith presented estimates to repair a rear AC unit on ambulance Med 2: an in-place repair estimate of $5,408.20 (with a possible additional $975.68 for a blower) and a full replacement estimate of $6,849.68. The court authorized repairs up to $7,000 on a motion by Esq. Cotton, seconded by Esq. Pharris.
Klinglesmith also presented a local quote (Moore Equipment) and a Polaris Government Sales alternative for a UTV budgeted this fiscal year for search‑and‑rescue and inclement-weather access. The UTV package total in the minutes is $30,216.90 (UTV $20,010; skid $3,295; basket stretcher $1,429; lights, decals, helmets, and trailer). Judge Travis suggested postponing purchase until after the new year and exploring grants and coordination with the fire department to avoid duplicative equipment; the court took no purchase action at the July 20 meeting.
The minutes include the EMS estimate text and record the repair authorization as an approved line item, and the UTV purchase discussion is recorded as information only with no vote.
