Barry from the zoning department reported 15 permit applications in July and 12 in August, told the board the board of adjustment granted an extension on a permit delayed by weather and said the zoning commission continues its ordinance rewrite work with ECIA. He announced a public hearing on the proposed zoning ordinance set for Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. and noted adjustments to meeting start times for October and November.
Barry said staff attended floodplain training and will include a comparison to last year’s permit volumes in the October departmental update; he reported a variance request and board discussion about meeting times for upcoming hearings. "It will be held October 20 at 7PM regarding the proposed zoning ordinance," Barry stated.
