Board approves final plans for Z-20 fog seal between Hwy. 64 and Spragueville

Jackson County approved final plans for a fog-seal preservation project on County Road Z-20 spanning from Highway 64 north to the Spragueville city limits and continuing north roughly 4.5–5 miles to where asphalt meets concrete. The county engineer said the project will go to the December letting and crews are currently reclaiming pavement sections where weather permits.
Engineer Jaden Shekel described the route and noted that Spragueville had elected to keep Farm-to-Market funds for sections within city limits, so the county will not pay for portions inside municipal boundaries. "It's going up to the city limits on the south and skipping through city limits starting again on the north end ... and then going continuing north, about 4.5, 5 miles to where the conic where the asphalt meets the concrete," Shekel said. The board moved to approve the final plans and the motion carried by voice vote; staff said the work is expected to continue as crews reclaim and weather allows.
