The Wheaton City Council convened its April 13 planning session at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Suess presiding and Councilman Brown absent. The council unanimously approved the March 9, 2026 planning session minutes.
The session's substantive items were a risk-based water infrastructure analysis presented by consultant Arcadis and staff and a traffic-calming review for the Washington Street and Harrison Avenue intersection. Staff highlighted priorities including a citywide lead service line replacement expected to complete in 2031 and several high-risk main replacements, and council directed staff to keep the all-way stop at Washington and Harrison and to continue data collection while studying a roundabout.
There was no public comment. Councilman Weller offered a brief non-substantive comment about spring events, and the meeting adjourned at 8:24 p.m.
