Rockport leaders preview new data dashboard, device controls and AI pilot

District leaders told the School Committee they are consolidating assessment and student data into a role-based analytics dashboard and expanding classroom technology controls and AI supports.
Jody Goodhue described an "analytic view" data-warehousing tool that pulls information from multiple sources (iReady, Acadience, MCAS, benchmark scores) so staff can see student profiles and progress in a single place. She noted the MassED data hub and the recent addition of an MTSS module that the district will use to build intervention groups.
Goodhue also described Blocksy, a classroom device-management product piloted in grades 4–5 and slated for grades 3–8, allowing teachers to monitor student Chromebooks in real time and restrict access as needed. "It was piloted in 4th and 5th grade...the 4th and 5th grade teachers thought this was fabulous," she said.
On AI, Goodhue said the district has a signed contract with the Conmigo platform, teacher training has occurred, and rostering should be completed by early September; funding for Conmigo is tied to the anonymous donation that also supports other tech resources. She emphasized the district is not rolling the platform out to students immediately until rostering and parental processes are in place.
Committee members asked whether parents would see staff dashboards; Goodhue clarified that the analytic view is not a parent-access portal and that data access will be role-limited.
