Superintendent Mark Brinko and the chair praised a recent commencement for the Class of 2025 and thanked community philanthropists who provided scholarships. Brinko described the ceremony as student- and community-centered and recognized principals and administration for organizing the event.
The committee outlined upcoming end-of-year activities including fifth- and sixth-grade move-up events, eighth-grade graduation and a civics fair that spotlights student civic engagement. Brinko noted student-led projects — including research into school start times — and encouraged families and residents to consult the district calendar for summer events. Members emphasized the importance of keeping students safe over the summer and congratulated seniors on internships and community work.
Committee members also noted district accomplishments this year, including securing instructional coaching, finding transportation solutions, and supporting students with disabilities, and they thanked staff and volunteers for the work that made these successes possible.
