County staff scramble to find administrator for three‑year drug grant after CSAC staff change

Shelley from the operator's office told the board that CSAC will put Laura, a project coordinator, on part‑time status and that, as a result, CSAC likely will not administer the county's drug grant. "CSAC is putting Laura down to part time," she said, adding that Laura is going back to school and would not be available to coordinate the project.
County staff said they contacted Robert Young as a potential administrator but were waiting to hear back from Mary Peterson, the decision maker. Board members discussed whether a local coordinator could be found and the practical limits of a three‑year grant if an administrator lacks local presence. The board asked staff to continue outreach and to report back with options rather than immediately decline the grant.
