County engineer outlines Prairie Creek bridge work, warns of temporary closure and weight restriction

Jaden, the county engineer representative, told the Board that pile driving for one of the two Prairie Creek bridges will begin the following day and crews were already removing the existing structure. He said survey crews have been able to take additional shots after clearing brush and the department will order a 66‑inch corrugated tube culvert to place in the channel.
He warned the board that the repaired crossing will not return to an unrestricted bridge: "It's not gonna be back to an it won't be an unrestricted bridge... it's gonna be be only open to its 15 ton," Jaden said, and that depending on the approach, a replacement could keep the road closed for several weeks. The engineer said the department will inspect pile driving and manage barricades and fencing during the closure.
