Board approves Lamont Telephone permit to extend underground fiber along 375th Avenue

Jaden from the Dunning engineer's office presented a permit request on Sept. 16 for Lamont Telephone Company to install underground fiber in the right‑of‑way along 375th Avenue to serve 2155 1375th Avenue. "So it's just extending from a vault they already have on the road and going about 0.5 mile further down the road to extend it to the next address," he said, and recommended the board approve the permit.
Supervisor Ninn moved to approve and Supervisor Mike Steinas seconded. After brief confirmation that the work would be off the roadway on the east side, the board voted by voice to approve the permit. Jaden described the request as "pretty standard" and said the department saw no issues with the installation.
