Trustee James (Mike) Blaies, chair of the Electric Committee, told the Village Board the committee reviewed recent customer issues and equipment needs. Head Lineman Max Sallman reported the main breaker tripped at the North Substation, causing an outage of about 30 minutes; the committee is pursuing a breaker replacement request with Eaton.
Trustee Blaies said Socket Fiber has been meeting with village staff and is working toward an agreement, and that the village's application for IMEA energy-efficiency grant funding remains unchanged. No formal motions or contract awards were recorded at the meeting; the committee will continue negotiations and follow up on equipment procurement.
