Freeburg electric crew reports 30-minute outage; Socket Fiber negotiations ongoing

Trustee James (Mike) Blaies, chair of the Electric Committee, told the Village Board the committee reviewed recent customer issues and equipment needs. Trustee Blaies said Socket Fiber has been meeting with village staff and is working toward an agreement, and that the village's application for IMEA energy-efficiency grant funding remains unchanged. No formal motions or contract awards were recorded at the meeting; the committee will continue negotiations and follow up on equipment procurement.
