Board members voted 5–0 to adopt the district’s revenues and appropriations for the General Operating Fund, Student Nutrition Fund and Debt Service Fund. The action included a resolution permitting potential retroactive pay increases and designating the chief financial officer to calculate the no‑new‑revenue and voter‑approval tax rates and related truth‑in‑taxation requirements. Chief Financial Officer Dr. Bill Johnston presented the budget information to the Board.
The Board also approved a consent agenda that included minutes from prior meetings; payment of current bills over $50,000; budget amendments; initiation of design for new projects; updates to Prosperity Bank account signatories; purchases such as track and field equipment and weapons detection systems for school campuses; shared service agreements with Texas State Technical College; and renewal of student/athletic accident insurance. Board member Johnny Knight made the motion to approve the consent agenda and Brian Sebring seconded; the motion carried 5–0.
