Court says it will draft MOU with city to share equipment under KRS 65.157

The chair told the court he had consulted county legal counsel and planned to bring a formal memorandum of understanding to a future meeting to allow equipment-sharing with the city. "I reached out to Rich Orenstein, the Keiko attorney that that advises us," the chair said, and referenced KRS 65.157 as the statutory basis he distributed to the members.
He described recent cooperation: the county used a boom mower to clear a road and the city purchased a vacuum truck the county might house; the chair said a formal agreement would let the two governments "use our money to help them, and they can use their money to help us" and that Corey and Sheryl (staff) would help make the agreement legally sufficient.
The court did not vote on the MOU at the special meeting; the chair said he would present a draft at a later meeting for the court's consideration.
