The Mason Consolidated Schools Board of Education voted 4–0 on July 8 to award Laibe Electric a contract for electrical upgrades in the middle school CTE shop at a cost of $18,730. England moved the contract award and Fortner supported the motion.
Earlier in the meeting President Otting announced that Action items B and C — recommendations related to mechanical upgrades in the MS CTE shop — had been removed from the agenda. The board approved the separate electrical contract and recorded no questions from members during the financial presentation.
