The Red Oak Independent School District Board of Trustees held a Special Meeting on Monday, July 14, 2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Red Oak ISD Education Service Center, 109 West Red Oak Road, Red Oak, TX. Board President Melanie Petersen presided; Vice President Johnny Knight, Secretary Sean Kelly, John Anderson, Donna Knight and Donny Lutrick were present. Brian Sebring was absent.
After administrative opening items (invocation and pledges) and an Open Forum during which no one spoke, the board convened into Closed Session at 4:10 p.m. to consult with counsel and deliberate a Level 3 appeal filed by Doycelliour Neal under Texas Government Code §§551.071, 551.074 and 551.0821 and pursuant to Board Policy DGBA. The board reconvened in open session at 5:08 p.m., recorded a motion to deny the appeal that passed 6–0, and adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
