City shares local events: restaurant week, library sale, Coffee with a Cop

City staff announced Parker County Restaurant Week (Jan. 19–25), a library book sale on Jan. 24, Coffee with a Cop on Jan. 15 and an upcoming railroad crossing closure at North Main; staff also noted city offices closed for MLK Jr. Day.
City staff opened the meeting with a set of community announcements, highlighting several upcoming events. Staff said the 2nd annual Parker County Restaurant Week runs January 19 through January 25 and that proceeds support the Tarrant Area Food Bank West. "Every bite supports the Tarrant Area Food Bank West and families in our own community," the presenter said.
Staff also announced a temporary railroad crossing closure at North Main for repairs (January 16 or 17 and 18), the Weatherford Public Library book sale on January 24 and Coffee with a Cop at the Senior Center on January 15 at 9 a.m. City offices will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 9, with trash and recycling running as scheduled.
