Board delegates authority to superintendent to buy attendance credits under Texas law

The motion, moved by Grant DuBois and seconded by Amy Hilton, instructs the superintendent to execute the Agreement for the Purchase of Attendance Credits (or the Netting Chapter 48 Agreement) for the 2025–2026 school year. Board minutes state the delegation is solely for compliance with the cited statutory authority and related commissioner rules.
The delegation is an administrative action intended to allow the district to manage funding under state formulas for wealth equalization and attendance adjustments; the board also separately approved its Wealth Equalization Plan for the 2025–26 year during the same meeting.
