The board voted to delegate contractual authority to the superintendent to obligate the district under Texas Education Code provisions related to purchase of attendance credit and recapture (TEC 11.1511(c)(4), TEC 48.257 and TEC Chapter 49 Subchapters A and D, and rules under TEC 49.006). The motion was made by Logan Burton, seconded by Nikki Yarnall and carried with a 6-0 vote.
The delegation authorizes the superintendent to approve Agreements for the Purchase of Attendance Credit (including netting Chapter 48 funding) for the 2025–26 school year as described in the motion text recorded in the minutes. The board’s action is narrowly tailored to authorizing execution of those agreements and does not otherwise change board policy.
