Planning board accepts minutes, recesses for joint ZBA hearing and sets comment deadlines

At the start of its Aug. 6 meeting the Planning Board moved to accept minutes from the May 21 meeting; the chair counted the vote as four approvals and two abstentions, and the minutes were accepted.
During the evening the board recessed for eight minutes to allow the Zoning Board of Appeals to open a joint hearing on the Mavis Tire application. Later, after public testimony on both Mavis Tire and the Fisher subdivision, the board closed oral testimony for those hearings but left the record open to receive additional written submissions through Aug. 20, 2026. The chair said written comments received by that date would be timely and made part of the record for deliberation at the next meeting.
