Silver Creek Township Planning & Zoning voted unanimously to recommend that Wright County rezone the Uecker property to Ag-Res following a presentation on April 7, 2026. Paul Otto spoke on behalf of the project and described a revised planned‑unit development that would replace an earlier plan of four 10‑acre lots with two larger and two smaller lots, using the creek as a boundary.
Otto told the board he had concerns stemming from a February Wright County meeting and cited the site’s 2009 Natural Resources overlay. ‘‘He discussed issues with the February Wright County meeting, and the 2009 Natural Resources overlay,’’ Paul Otto said. Supervisor Nelson said the new proposal was well thought out, and Chair Chris Klein said it fit the ordinance better; Commissioner Vanek added that the plan addressed how to use the property on the far side of the creek. The motion to recommend rezoning (moved by Supervisor Nelson; seconded by Commissioner Vanek) carried 8-0.
