Kincaid hires Michael Brown as police chief; sworn in at meeting

Following a closed session to discuss personnel and litigation, Trustee Watson moved to hire Michael Brown as Chief of Police; Trustee Dees seconded and the board voted all ayes. "I have not been told yet... I won’t be signed into anything before then... After Memorial Day for those few things absolutely I am free," Michael Brown said after being sworn in. Trustees set no specific start date at the meeting beyond noting that Brown will provide the standard notice to his current employer and coordinate onboarding with village staff.
