The Comal County Commissioners Court approved several personnel and routine administrative actions during its July 30 meeting. The court reclassified the Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator position from pay grade E5 to E9 to better reflect responsibilities and aid recruitment; staff said the job would be posted. The court also appointed Gary Reeves as a full‑time deputy constable for Precinct 4; Reeves was introduced as holding a master peace officer license with more than 12 years of law enforcement experience.
Separately, the court approved multiple planning items and small budget adjustments: several amending plats and a vacate-and-replat for the Ty Preston Memorial Library subdivision were approved; private-drive naming requests (Culver Court and Hartwood Way) were approved; a variance for addressing on Pfeiffer Ranch Road (2 homes) was granted with reflective-numbering and wayfinding conditions; and the court approved small line-item transfers for copier costs, a generator controller purchase, and sheriff uniform funds. All items passed by voice vote.
