Royse City ISD honors student leaders, Eagle Scouts and spotlights Davis Elementary

The Royse City ISD Board of Trustees opened the public portion of its Jan. 12 meeting with student recognitions, including student pledge leaders and All-District recognition for Royse City High School football and cross-country participants. Richard Pense recognized three recent Eagle Scouts.
Davis Elementary Principal Rachel Camp and Assistant Principal Dr. Mariah Bailey presented a campus spotlight report. Board members praised student achievements during closing comments: Trustee Mike Anderson said, "It's an honor to hear words like public trust and vision for the students," and Trustee Bobby Summers reflected, "I really do appreciate working with this very unified school board; and unity and trust are two of the most important things you can have in a district." The recognitions set a celebratory tone for the meeting.
