Royse City ISD hears construction and bond program updates; trustees encourage community input

At the Jan. 12 meeting the board received a construction update from Niels Berzanskis of NorthStar Builders and a bond program update from Chief Communications Officer April Soderquist. Superintendent Dr. Amy Anderson also presented the January edition of "The Gold Standard," which highlighted Board Appreciation Month and included enrollment figures: 10,257 total students and 28 students in the ALC program.
Trustees used their closing comments to emphasize outreach and listening as the district refines bond planning. Trustee Jessica Ratterree thanked community participants and said, "We want community input, and we are thankful for it." Trustee Amanda Self noted the complexity of upcoming bond decisions and said the superintendent was scheduling meetings with groups for feedback. No bond resolution or vote was taken at this meeting; the updates were informational.
