Royse City ISD honors science fair, stock market and dean's list students

Royse City ISD trustees recognized a slate of student academic achievements at their Feb. 12 regular meeting, highlighting winners of the district science fair and The Stock Market Game as well as high school students who earned Dean's and President's List honors from East Texas A&M University.
Science fair coordinators Tayla Wallis and Shelli Holmes presented the district science fair winners. Teachers Rebekah Crenshaw, Wallis and Candace Cronkhite recognized students who placed in The Stock Market Game sponsored by The SIFMA Foundation. Royse City High School Principal Scott Merry and House Principal David Trevino acknowledged students named to the Dean's List and President's List.
Trustee Cindi Jobe praised the breadth of recognition across grade levels: "When you have a target, you hit it every time, SO I appreciate that." The board also noted the district's dual-credit partnerships, which allow high school students to earn college honors while enrolled at Royse City High School.
The recognitions were presented during the public portion of the meeting before the board addressed its consent agenda and action items.
