The San Isidro ISD Board unanimously approved a Memorandum of Understanding that recognizes Region One preparatory mathematics and English language arts curriculum for college preparatory credit.
Trustee Cecilia Garza moved to enter the MOU; the motion was seconded by Albino Alaniz Jr. Superintendent Elsa V. Morris told trustees that there is no cost associated with the agreement and that the MOU allows students who complete the program to enroll in technical college courses without passing the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) test if needed. "There was no cost," Morris said when asked about financial obligations. The motion passed on a 7–0 vote.
The partnership is intended to provide clearer college pathway alignment and may reduce barriers for students seeking technical college enrollment after completing the district program.
