District expands Blended Preschool for All, adds session for students with IEPs

Director of Student Services Dr. Sean Rhoads told the board the district is expanding its Blended Preschool for All program by adding a dedicated early childhood session specifically for students with individualized education plans (IEPs). The model will keep three other blended sessions while creating an inclusive half-day structure that allows students with IEPs to engage with peers for part of the day.
Dr. Rhoads said staffing adjustments are being informed by a comprehensive analysis of student needs and that Prairieview in particular will see significant increases in special-education and paraprofessional positions due to a projected rise in IEPs. District administrators noted they plan to cover costs through a combination of reallocating grant funds and other internal budget adjustments.
