The district's Technology Department reported multiple completed and planned upgrades that officials said will improve data management, connectivity and classroom readiness.
Officials said the Skyward transition is complete and is improving data management and efficiency across the district. Lakeview staff received new computers, with older devices repurposed for other programs, and a grant funded an upgraded district phone system that will provide new features. The district also moved cellular service to T-Mobile to reduce costs, and staff said dual 4-gigabit fiber links are expected to be online by July 2025 to increase internet resiliency.
Technology staff said they will prepare student Chromebooks over the summer to ensure devices are ready for the fall. The board received the technology update as informational; no votes were required.
