Controller outlines IT RFP timeline and Lake Margrethe dam project; EPA grant work plan due mid‑July

County Controller Paul Compo told the board Convergent has been hired to oversee the county’s IT contract RFP. He outlined the planned schedule: the RFP will be released on July 31, proposals are due August 21, and evaluations and recommendations are expected by September 18. Compo said budgets are arriving and presentations will begin at the July 17 meeting and recommended delegates for the MERS conference in October.
Compo reported the Lake Margrethe Dam project is completed: sheet piles have been removed, water is moving through the dam and restoration is underway. He said an EPA grant is in preliminary stages; the work plan and several forms must be completed by July 15 and awards are expected by the end of August. The grant would run four years starting Oct. 1, 2025, if awarded.
