The Crawford County Board of Commissioners voted July 17 to request approval of a PA-198 tax capture for SAAB at a 50% capture rate for a period of three to six years, with a provision to review the agreement and consider an extension if the company makes additional investments such as new buildings or increased employment.
David Howie, the SAAB representative, presented a slideshow explaining PA-198 and the local impacts that prompted the request. Commissioner Kraycs moved the measure and Commissioner Moore seconded the motion. The motion passed on a roll-call vote recorded by the clerk.
