Board approves routine county payments as budget report shows revenue up

The Crawford County Board of Commissioners voted to authorize a series of prepaid invoices and payroll disbursements across county funds and reviewed a budget performance report for the period ending May 31, 2025.
County Controller Paul Compo presented the budget report, telling commissioners that "Revenue is 3.8% up compared to last year" while interest revenue is down 9% and jail revenue is down about $22,000. He said overall expenses are 8.6% higher year-over-year and called attention to specific pressure points: the Child Care Fund and the Airport may need additional funding, while building security costs are now fully covered by the general fund. The board recorded the report for review and approved the payment authorization (motion by Kraycs; second by Lewis).
