Bob Englebrecht, Crawford County Equalization Director, presented the county's 2025 Equalization Report and said the proposed total equalized value is $1,272,650,150, an increase of 8.63% from 2024. He told the board the tentative taxable value that results from that equalization stands at $874,651,846, a 5.88% increase from the prior year. The board voted to accept the report on a motion by Commissioner Moore, seconded by Commissioner Lewis.
The report will be used in the lead-up to budget and tax-rate discussions this year. County officials did not tie the value change to a single cause in the presentation; the data were presented for the board's acceptance and incorporation into upcoming levy calculations. The motion to accept the report carried on roll call.
