Trustee Scott Kramer moved that the Village Board approve Patrol Officer Jared Bunge's attendance at the 2025 Midwest Traffic Safety Conference in Itasca, Ill., Nov. 4'6, with registration costing $350 and meals $150 (transportation by police vehicle). Trustee Wedig seconded; the board approved the request 6-0.
Kramer also moved to approve a local Law Enforcement Coaching workshop, "Duty-Driven Deterioration," at Cherry Valley Fire Station No. 2 on Aug. 13, 2025, with a cost of $1,500 charged to line item 5195P. That motion likewise passed 6-0.
The minutes record the training items and budget line items; the board did not discuss staffing coverage or sworn officer scheduling in the minutes.
