Proposed Cherry Valley grocery tax fails on 3-4 vote

The motion to consider the second and final reading failed on roll call 3-4 (Belt and two others in favor; Neville, Hollembeak, Pearse and President Schroeder recorded as opposing or as noted in minutes). Because the motion to consider the ordinance failed, the subsequent motion to pass Ordinance 2025-22 was ruled out of order and no further action was taken on the grocery tax at this meeting.
