The Village of Cherry Valley's treasurer reported July 2025 revenues of $489,000 and expenditures of $611,000 in the General Fund, a deficit of $122,000 driven mainly by salaries and benefits, the board heard at its Aug. 4 meeting. Administrator Jim E. Claeyssen presented the figures on behalf of Treasurer Maureen Gumowski and President David Schroeder placed the report on file.
Claeyssen cited the Capital Improvements Fund as showing a $434,000 shortfall "due to the 2024 Streets Final Payment ($57,000) and 2025 Streets ($603,000)," and said the Water Fund had revenues of $297,000 against expenditures of $93,000, a $122,000 surplus. The board took no action beyond filing the report with the minutes.
