Kevin Hughes, District Health Director, presented District Health #10's 2024 annual report and invited the board to the department's Environmental Health Summit to highlight local data.
Chelsea Rossow, MPH, the department epidemiologist, described the department's role in investigating and documenting communicable diseases to track trends and inform local public-health responses. "The department continues to meet its responsibility of creating, maintaining, and fostering healthy communities within all 10 counties," Hughes said.
Hughes and Rossow emphasized that the health department wants residents to know available services and the department's role in prevention and investigation.
