County auditor presents FY2024 summary; audit posted online

Gabridge & Company presented the FY2024 audit covering fiscal year through Sept. 30, 2024. County staff said the full report is posted on the county website for public review.
Andrew Wilcoxen of Gabridge & Company presented the county's FY2024 audit summary by Zoom, reviewing the audit opinion, financial highlights, the general fund balance, the statement of net position, the statement of activities and the county's pension liability.
County Controller Paul Compo told the board the full annual audit report is available on the county website for anyone who wishes to review the details. The presentation did not include a separate, board-addressed corrective-action motion during the meeting; Wilcoxen summarized key statements of financial position and activity for the auditors' report period.
The board took no separate vote to "accept" the audit at the dais beyond routine agenda approvals; commissioners did move on other items later in the meeting. The audit presentation was placed in the meeting packet and preserved on the county's public materials online.
