Rob Pallarito, representing the office of Senator Michele Hoitenga, briefed the board on requests for a resolution of support for a rail project. He clarified that the request concerns the Lake State line — which runs through Crawford County — rather than the Great Lakes Central line, and said the project is estimated at $750 million and is on Michigan Department of Transportation property.
Pallarito said he would continue to provide updates as needed. The board discussed the clarification but took no formal action on the matter during the March 13 meeting.
