The Crawford County Board of Commissioners on March 13 adopted a new county investment policy and approved three related resolutions, including authorization to borrow up to $2.1 million against anticipated delinquent 2024 real property taxes.
Treasurer Kate Wagner presented the Investment Policy required by Public Act 20 of 1943 and two tax-related resolutions. By motion, the board approved the Investment Policy (03132025IP) and later approved a "Resolution to Borrow Against Anticipated Delinquent 2024 Real Property Taxes ... up to $2.1 million," the latter described during the meeting as item 03132025DT. Roll call showed Commissioners Frederick, Goscicki, Kraycs, Lewis and Moeller voting aye on the measures.
Commissioners also approved a Resolution of Agency pursuant to Section 87c of Act 206 (03132024RA) by unanimous roll call of the members present. County officials said the actions were intended to provide the county options for cash flow related to delinquent 2024 property taxes and to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
