Board tables superintendent contract item, approves remaining agenda and consent items
Summary
At the March work session the board voted to table action item 7.8 (superintendent contract) until after executive session, approved items 7.1–7.7 and 7.9–7.11, and passed the consent agenda (8.1–8.11). After executive session the board approved superintendent contract items 1 and 2 as described in a letter to the chair.
During the work session the board moved several procedural and action items.
Marsha (speaker 4) moved to table item 7.8, the superintendent contract approval, until after the executive session; the motion carried with a voice vote. The board then approved the balance of items 7.1–7.11 (excluding 7.8) and approved consent agenda items 8.1–8.11 following motions and seconds recorded on the floor.
The board went into an executive session under ORS personnel/labor exceptions. After returning to open session, a motion to approve superintendent contract items 1 and 2 as set out in a letter to the board chair passed on a voice vote.
