"What was given to us was about a $150,000 and that was with Sean from Advantage," the parks presenter said, adding the project would include full demo, site prep and fencing. Board members favored using a loan to spread the cost rather than placing a large appropriation before voters this year.
The presenter described a phased view of the project that could include future expansion for pickleball and cautioned that a full reconfiguration could balloon to a multi-million-dollar effort if playground/pavilion/parking were moved. The board voted to approve pursuing a cemetery-commission loan not to exceed $150,000 and authorized the town administrator to sign necessary documents.
