The committee voted unanimously to approve three supplemental appropriations for the Orange County Veterans Cemetery. Janet Sutherland moved the request for a prefabricated storage garage (Project No. 141), $80,000 in bonding funds; the motion carried with all in favor.
Peter V. Tuohy moved and Jonathan Redeker seconded a $30,000 bonding appropriation to purchase two zero-turn mowers to replace aging units (Project No. 140); that motion also carried unanimously. Tuohy later moved—and Sutherland seconded—use of the assigned fund balance for continued improvements to the cemetery under Capital Project No. 240 in the amount of $186,530.83; that motion carried as well.
The motions were described as SEQRA Type II actions requiring no further environmental review, and a new capital project will be created upon approval for Project Nos. 140 and 141.
