The board’s six stated goals include: each trustee completing at least three trainings annually; trustees maintaining at least 85% meeting attendance; prioritizing district-wide math curriculum improvement and early reading (IRI) results; expanding dual-credit offerings toward an associate or technical degree focused on career pathways; continued focus on a community weight room project; and ongoing attention to school safety.
Superintendent Mark Kress recommended aligning board goals with the district continuous-improvement plan. Trustees emphasized both curricular measures (math and IRI) and postsecondary pathways (dual credit) as measurable priorities for the coming year. The board’s approved goals appear in the minutes as the official governance priorities for 2025–26 and are expected to guide future superintendent recommendations and budget requests (SEGS 007–009).
