The Sun Valley City Council voted unanimously Sept. 30 to accept the resignation letter of Council Member Franz Suhadolnik dated Sept. 24, 2014. Council Member Michelle Griffith moved to accept the resignation; Council Member Peter Hendricks seconded the motion, and a roll call vote recorded affirmative votes from Griffith, Council President Keith Saks and Hendricks.
Mayor Dewayne Briscoe said he would present a nominee for the vacant council seat at the council's Oct. 2, 2014 regular meeting. The council's acceptance of the resignation is an administrative step; no appointment to fill the vacancy was made at the special meeting.
